Letters found on prisoners indicate that ;: spirit of revolt is spreading in Austria, where famine torments the people. The soldiers are suffering acutely from hunger, which is lowering their morale. An official circular urges the exercise of rigid economy, pointing out that the situation is likely to become worse and that the most extreme efforts in will-power are necessary to enable us to resist.
