The Petit Parisienne's Salonika correspondent states, that the Yenizelist Government have arrested several Germanophile journarists in Syra, including five deputies, as . a reprisal to the arrests in Athens. The Entente is demanding informa' tion with reference to the transfer of the army, and is requiring the Government to liberate four Allied police agents, whom the Royalists imprisoned.
Sir Francis Elliott and M. Guillemin have returned to the Allied warships in the harbour.

Cable Association, Athens, December 23. 1 The text of the Greek Government's reply to the Entente's demands regrets that the continuance of the blockade and the Entente's of the revolutionary movement in the toleration of the artificial extension islands art; disquieting the population and hampering a rapprochement between the Entente and Greece, and urges the Entente to seek with Greece an improvement of the present situation, with a view to a quicker settlement of the questions at issue. It declares that if anarchy spreads in the country the Government may no longer be able to maintain order. '•■

London, December 25
Advices from Athens, via Eyra, state that the unruly military cliques will have their wings clipped only hi the event of the Entente powers insisting on . complete compliance with their recent' demands. Before the presentations of the second note it was pointed out that if Greek troops remained in Thessaly and Epirus they would be better able to resist any new demands.
The Times, in an uncensored dispatch from Greece, reveals the unchecked continuance of the antiVenizelist outrages. King Constantino is supporting ..the campaign of terror, brutality, outrage, and pill-
age. The Stampa newspaper, Turin, learns that King Constantino is worse, and must undergo a. further operation. Several additional islands have adhered to M. Venizelos, including Naxos, los, and Thir. The Daily Chronicle's Syria correspondent reports that King Constantino's brother Nicholas states that if negotiations fail, Constantino, to avoid a bombardment, will evacuate Athens and retire north with his army.
