ACCIDENT AT A PICNIC.

YOUNG GIRL INJURED. A rather umisual accident occurred at Tahora Corge yesterday afternoon. A party ol picnickers were enjoying themselves in the timehonored picnic way, and some of the children were paddling in the stream underneath the bridge, with . their elders watching, them from the bridge above. One of the bridge party threw a large junk of wood over into the stream below "to make a splash." Most unfortunately, however, it hit; a 13-year-old girl named Hallett on the head, the result being a fractured skull. Dr. Steven was sent for, and the sufferer is now at home, where her condition is reported to be serious.
