CARDIFF NOTES.

On Wednesday evening the annual concert and prize distribution was held at the Cardiff School. The children’s items were well-rendered, especially those entailing part-sing-ing. The first part of the programme was composed of the National Anthems and songs of Britain, France and Russia with tableaux. Then followed a variety of songs and drills which evoked great applause; especially the songs “Three Blind Mice,” “Ten Little Nigger Boys,” and “The Japanese Fan Song,” and Drill and an action song by the little tots. Master Leonard Hancock and Miss Rose Blair, both pupils of the school, gave pleasing piano solos as overtures, while Miss Rogers capably accompanied the children’s items. After the concert the chairman (Mr Rogers) proceeded with the prize distribution, at the conclusion of which supper was handed round and dancing began. Soon after midnight the last dance was called and the people went home, none regretting the few hourse of sleep lost in the pursuit of pleasure.
