BOWLING.
On the Rawer a howling green on Saturday afternoon the holders of the challenge buttons (Spence, Campbell, G. Syme and Henson) defeated Tong, Robson, Farrington and Parkinson by 23 to 12 points. The present holders of the Stratford Club’s “ferns”—H. Sanderson and C. Jackson—successfully defended them on Friday from the challengers, W. Faget and W. Leversedge, the scores being 18 to 4 in favor of the holders.
Stratford bowlers play as follows during the holidays:— At Wanganui: J. Lyons, J. S. MsDonald, C. Jackson, S. Sharp (skip). At New Flymouth (New Year’s Day): T. Fookes, C. Jackson, G. Sangster, G. Smart (skip). At Wellington: F. J. McDonald, and W. McDonald (pairs'!. Stratford will be represented at the Wellington championship by Messrs. T. Skoglund (champion singles), T. and F. Skoglund (pairs), and Messrs. T. and F. Skoglund, M • H. Young, and another in the rinks.
