Recent sinkings consist of the Danish 'steamer Michael Ontohoukoff, and the British steamer Constance Mary. The American schooner Marcus Urann was abandoned waterlogged. Three of the crew were saved, the remainder being drowned. Mr Ilunciman, speaking of the Navy, said it had nearly doubled its strength wince the war started.
