A London cable states that Mr Lloyd ■■(■ George has had a slight relapse, antt been ordered a complete rest for A few davs. * The New Plymouth Harbor Board yesterday passed votes of condolence to Messrs C. A. Wilkinson, M.P., and D. J. Hughes, members of the Board, in connection with the death of their respective fathers, Messrs John Wilkinson and Daniel Hughes. Tlie very Rev. Dean McKenna, of New Plymouth, who has been on an extended visit to Ireland, arrived at Auckland from Vancouver on Tuesday, and returned to New Plymouth by the Rarawa yesterday. The many friends of the Dean will be pleased to hear that his health is much improved. Mr and Mrs F. W. Pennington, Stuart Road, Elthain, have received word that their son, Lance-Corporal Fred Lionel, who was previously reported wounded, is now, after the Court of Inquiry, reported killed m action on September 17. The late Lance-Corporal Pennington went to the front with the Main Body, and was in the Gallipoli campaign;-" where he was wounded and invalided Home. On Ins recovery, he returned to his regiment in France.
Mr Charles H. Fox, well-known in Stratford as the pianist at His Majesty’s Pictures, is entering into business on his own account, and has established himself in the Municipal Buildings, Broadway. Mr box has been appointed agent for Messrs H. Collier and Co., the well-known piano people of New Plymouth and Wanganui. Sir Fox will continue his practice as pianoforte teacher and pianist to H.M. Pictures.
