oFOLEY'S PICTURES. SINS OF THE MOTHERS. THE 10,000 DOLLAR PRIZE DRAMA. The chief attraction at His -Majesty’s Theatre to-night is a Vitagrapli Prize drama. The story won the 10,000 dollar prize given by the New York Sun against all comers for the best scenaria ■ for a film play, and after witnessing its exhibition one realises its great merit. It deals with the evils of gambling by medium ol cards, dice, roulette wheels and horseracing, and drives' its lesson homo with sledge-hammer force. The* girl(Anita Stewart) who, reared in a convent, still retains the hereditary taint for gambling, portrays a
character that afforded the wonderfully lino actress an opportunity of showing her true merit as an artist. Yells upon yells of whole-souled laughter fairly shook the bidding last night during the screening. The “Water Queen’s” diving. Other subjects are “Th o L a ke of Thoun” (a line scenic), and the latest Gaqmont Graphic.
