■ The first number of the New »alander has'been published. It aims at conveying Dominion news to the troops in Europe. Prominent Ne»v Zealanders are providing the funds. As a result of public protests, the War Office has decided it is impossible to enforce railway restrictions before the end of the year. There will, therefore, be the same proportion of troops in Britain to spend their Christmas at home as in 1915.
