NEW ZEALAND’S PART, MR MASEEY’S TELEGRAM. i Per Press Association. Wellington, December 9. The following telegram from tho Hon, W. E. Massey (Prime Minister) now in London, has been received by the Acting-Premier (I'Hlon. J. Allen) dated Bth December, 191(1: “I havenow bad the opportunity of meeting British citizens in England, Scotland, and Ireland, and everywhere have heard the strongest expressions o' appreciation of what New Zealand has done in assisting the .Empire throughout the present war. •Bii-.ee my arrival. in England, | have, not heard a single discordant note regarding the Dominion’s action, I tom i iis Majesty the King down to | the humblest citizen. All are loud in their praise of the military capacity oi New Zealand soldiers and • heir splendid behaviour while on leave. 'I he highest Imperial oflieers
speak in terms ol unstinted praise ol our soldiers at the front. The war
may not end as soon as wo exported, but f am confident there will be no weakening on the part of New Zealanders.”'
