The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Co., Ltd., Stratford Branch, report as follows: On Tuesday, 28th November, we held our usual fortnightly sale at our Stratford yards. We had a good yarding of cattle na dsheep, and sold most lines at full market values, although some lines appeared not to be in such demand as recently. We started at 11.30 sharp, with a lair attendance of operators, and have to report a satisfactory sale. _ The 1 olio wing are some of the prices real-ised-.—Hoggets, mixed, in wool, small, 31s 2d; ewes, small and mixed in quality, 31s Bd. Fat cows from £l2 6s to £l3; empty cows, good points, £9 4s to £ll Is; smaller hues £8 Ss to £8 10s; yearling boilers £1 for small to £5 16s for fair Hues; yearling to 15-months from £6 16s to £7 lls 6d; 18-months heifers £7 Us 6d; 12 to 15-months steers £6 Us'6d, yearlings, small and weedy, £3 6s, hulls, small, £6 14s to £i 15s for medium grown. In our dairy yards, springing heifers, showing quality, sold well at from £9 5s to £l2 10s; cows, from £l3 to £l3 12s 6d. .

We hold our*usual monthly sale of sheepskins, hides and tallow on Tuesday, 28th November, and offered a catalogue comprising 159(3 sheepskins, hides and tallow to a spirited bench of buyers, who competed keenly for all sheepskins and hides, and we have to report a successful sale. All wool was held over pending definite arrangements with the Government. NEWTON KING’S REPORT. At Urenui on Monday, 27th nit., 1 in spite of the heavy rain, there was a- good yarding of stock and brisk' competition, nearly everything being sold at the hammer at current rates.! Fat shorn wethers made 355, springing heifers, good, £lO to £ll 15s;! medium £7 5s to £8 10s; lat cows 1 £l2 to £ls ss; forward cows £lO to £ll 10s; store cows £8 2s Gd to £8 15s; yearling steers £7 IG.s to £7 1 Is (id; yearling heifers £G 12s; bulls £lO 5s to £5 10s.
At Stony River on Tuesday, there was a fair yarding and attendance, and good bidding. Yearling heifers made £G 12s Gd to £7 2s Gd. 2-yeaij empty heifers £8 Is to £8 Is, store cow s £8 3s to £9 11s, fat do. £ll 17s to £l2 3s, springing cows £l3 ss, springing heilers £l2 10s, hulls £9 5s to £l3 17s Gd. | At Waiwakaiho on Friday, there was a good yarding and keen competition for all lines.
