HUNGARIAN SUSPICION. Press Association-—Copyrignt, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. London, December 5. The Daily Telegraph’s Hungarian correspondent states that General von Falkenhayu and several of his Generals are learning the Hungarian language as part of the German policy of ingratiation, which, it is hoped, will load to the political domination ot Hungary after the war. Hungarians are suspicious, and declare that dependence on Germany is undesirable, and will only be a change of masters. “Wo want complete political and economic independence, and if the Entente agreed to 1 either this object it would create sympathy with a largo part of the Hungarian nation. VON JACOW’S RETIREMENT. Berne, December 0. Maximilian Harden, in Die Zukuntt, states than von Jagow left the Foreign Office because ho disapproved ol the submarine policy and the deportations of the Belgians and French.
