The New York Times’ Berlin correspondent obtained exclusively a speech delivered by Knver Pasha to the Turkish Parliament, indicating plans for the invasion of Egypt. Enver said the Turkish offensive on Suez had not been given up. They were preparing, on a large scale, operations against Egypt. The campaign would be, resumed at the right moment. The retreat in the Caucasus was due to a lack of communications, hut the southern army was preparing another offensive.
Turkey had sent troops to assist in Galicia and the Dohrudja, as well as to Seres and Drama, retaining sufficient to defend their own territory.
