BODY FOUND IN THE HARBOR. Per Press Association. Auckland, December -I. Tile body ol Sydney Stringfellow, oil years ol age, a married man with a family, was Sound in the harbor today. He left his home yesterday. THE SCOW WELCOME COMES TU GRIEF. Auckland, December I. The Whakatane Harbor Board’s scow Welcome was damaged at the bar this morning, it left for Whale Island with a crane, and in shallow water, humped a loci;. I lu> crane shilteu, causing her to tip over. The scow was beached and the crew landed. FOUND DROWNED. The News reports that the body oi a man was recovered from the sett near the Breakwater at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon, and removed to the Morgue. It was identified as that oi Henry Barnwell, aged 72, an inmate
of the Old People’s Home. Barnwei had been ill for some time, and >e had wandered away from the Hone yesterday morning. .It has nob Iran spired how he got into the water. De ceased was.born in Adelaide, and Ir arrived in New' Zealand 15 vears ago He* was formerly a miner, if He neve married, and has no relatives in Nev Zealand.
