MASS MEETING PROTEST. EVIDENCE OF LYING. (Received 9.10 a.m.) Washington, December 3. A great mass meeting is being arranged as a protest against the Belgian deportations. Clergymen and university presidents are also sending a memorial to Germany. The Administration, which is preparing further vigorous representations, possesses evidence absolutely refuting the Gelman plea that the dtportation was designed to give employment to the idle. It has been ascertained many workmen who were, profitably employe-! were forced'to'go to Germany and do military work.
