The .management in the latter connection j is prepared to pay t he same rates tor pillar workings as the Liverpool State mine where the seams are considered to ho similar to Paparoa. { The miners are holding a meeting to-morrow. i 1 STATE MINERS’ ABORTIVE MEETING. NOTORIOUS RUNANCA. Grey month. December 2. At a meeting of miners at the State Aline last night a report was received from the delegates who had been r o Wellington in connection with the disputes and the restricted output ’owing to the conditions prevailing for some weeks. As the motion that tin* restriction he lifted met with defeat, further motions wore refused, and the meeting dispersed without taking definite action.
A further meeting is to he held. Last night’s meeting passed a resolution calling on the Minister to exempt the headmaster of the Rimanga School, who has been selected for active service through last week’s Ballot, on the grounds that his services were indispensable.
