The Daily Telegraph’s Rotterdam correspondent states that newspapei s frankly recognise the strength of.the English anti-aircraft defences. It seems the Government desires to damp the enthusiasm for Zeppelin frightfulness, knowing well that their hopes are unrealisable. Tliet Lokal Anzeiger says the English appear to have created at last effective defences. The Hamburg Fremdenblatt states: Our air heroes know death awaits them, for England has collected stupendous defences. THE BRITISH AIR SERVICE.

The Manchester Guardian says that the Government is establishing the Z service as a separate arm, with an Air Board to control the financial, administrative, and technical nianagement for both military and naval, but not to interfere with matters of strategy.
