CENSURE MOTION DEFEATED. RESULT OF COAL STRIKE. Press Association—Copyright. (Received 11.25 a.m.) Melbourne, December 2. In the House of Representatives, the censure motion was defeated by 43 votes to 19. During the debate, Mr Burns stated that if Mr Cook moved a no-confidence motion on the Government, all the Labour members and the Opposition would gladly support him. It was announced that the Navy Department and the Government urgently needed so many thousands of tons of coal that it would be fully the middle of January before sufficient would be available to enable industry to revert to normal conditions.
