THE RECENT BALLOT.
[To TllH EdITOU STUATKOItn POBT.) Sir,. — It has already boon pointed out in certain quarters that some ol tlio men drawn in th<> I'ooont military ballot had already enlisted and been turned down, and their names had not been starred in the Gazette as was promised. A very glaring case has
come under my notice, and I think, in justice to the man concerned, the public should know. IVIr F. A. Sanne, of the Skinner Road, was the first recruit to enrol with the local Recruiting Committee. He was passed hnd went into camp. He was there lor several weeks and broke down during his training, a knee that had been bad for years being the cause of his breakdown. He has received his discharge from the forces, and yet Ids name appears in the list without the star, i This man is still eager and anxious to go, and it is unfair that his name 1 should he published as a conscript. Trusting you will find space lor this j letter. I am, etc.. PHILIP SLOG LUND, Hon, Secretary, Stratford Recruiting Committee. 1-12-10.
