Bond’s furniture was being conveyed from the Argyl station (which liad boon sold by him) to the Switzers railway station by a traction . .igine, and possibly; a, spark irom the engine ignited the waggon, the whole consignment being much damaged. No time was lost In running the furniture into a stream, but with little effect. Some of the furniture was much prized, and consisted ol heirlooms. The total damage is said to be in the vicinity of £BOO, but whether it is covered by insurance is unknown.
