NEWTON KING’S REPORT. At Waiwakaiho on Friday,' 17th inst., there was a good yardilig and brisk bidding for all linos. Ewes and lambs made 465, woolly hoggets .‘l4s Cd, springing heifers £7 10s to £l2, springing cows £9 2s fid to £l4 10s, Pedigree Jersey cow 20 guineas, two heifers 15 and 15$ guineas respectively, store cows £8 16s to £lO Is, fat cows £l3 12s fid, cows and calves £ll 2s fid, heifer yearlings £5 15s fid to £G 16s fid, 2 year empty yearlings £B. mixed yearlings weedy £8 15s to £4 9s.
At Douglas on Monday there was a good yarding and excellent prices were realised. Mixed yearlings made £5 11s, steer yearlings £6 4s to £6 17s, 15 to 18 month steers £9 10s, yearling heifers £5 11s to £6 2s, 18 month heifers £7 6s to £7 10s, store cows £7 to £8 ss, forward cows £9 12s to £ll 2s, fat cows £l2, springing heifers £8 15s to £lO 10s, bulls Cfi 5s to £7, hoggets 82a. At Stratford on Tuesday there was a good yarding in the storq pyus and considering the advanced stage of the dairying season a good many springers came forward in the dairy yards. Bidding, for ail classes was very keen and everything sold at advanced prices. In the dairy yards springing heifers made £8 10s to £lB 10s, heifers at full profit £9 10s, springing cows £9 10s to £l6. | In the store yards store cows (poort made £7 15s to £8 7s fid, forward cows £9 5s to £ll. fat and forward £l2 ids to £l3 17s fid, 12' to 15 month heifers £4 19s to £6 15s, 18 months heifers £6 16s to £7 7s. yearling steers :C(> 15s, 2 year empty heifers £8 ss. At Inglewood on Tuesday there was a big yarding and attendance, and everything sold at advanced rates, the sale being one ot the most successful yet held. Springing heifers made £7 10s to £9 10s, good heifers £ll to £lB 10s, cows at profit £lB 15s, springers £9 15s to £l2, store cows £8 to £9 Us, forward cows £lO 10s to £ll 10s, fat and forward cows £ll 15s to £l2 fid, steer yearlings £C is to £7 Is, mixed ■'•earling (inferior) Vl 14s, Holstein heifer yearlings £6 12s to £7, 2 year heifers empty £9 2s. mixed heifer yearlings £6, cows and calves £9, bulls £7 15s to Cl 4 10s. ewes and lambs £2 2s, tat ewes £2 to £2 Is 3d, forward ewes 85s fid. At Kahotn ou the same (lay there 1 was a fail 1 yarding and attendance.
