PROLONGATION PROTEST. CROWD MAKE DEMONSTRATION. Press Association —Copyright. (Received 10.45 a.ra.) . ' Sydney, November 16. At the conclusion of the meeting of protest against the prolongation of Parliament, three thousand marched to Parliament to prevent a resolution, but they found the House had adjourned. After a demonstration against the Government, the crowd dispersed.

In the Assembly, Mr Holman (Premier) tested the strength of the new opposition on the motion for an adjournment by leading his followers from the Chamber, hvhen the House was counted out. During the debate, Mr MeGirr said that because of the attitude of Mr Holman in forming a National Party, the people would take up a lawless attitude, as the Government did not represent them. Mr Holman would not be able to hide from the electors by staying in Parliament as a provisional Government would lie formed.
