SUBMARINE-HUNTING. ZEEBRUCCE-OSTEND RAID. AIRMEN RETURN SAFELY. The High Commissioner reports: — London, November 15 (4.45 p.m.) The Admiralty report; Early this morning at Zcehrugge and Ostend harbors, the submarine shelters were again heavily bombarded by our squadrons of aeroplanes and seaplanes. Direct hits were recorded on the marine workshops, also close to the power station. A large fire, proably of a petrol store, was also observed. The machines returned safely. STATEMENT IN THE COMMONS. THE WORK OF OUR NAVY. (Received 12.45 p.m.) London, November 15.
In the House of Commons, replying to a question, Air AlacNamara said that the Admiralty were unremitting in their attention to tho possibility of countering the activity of enemy submarines. It should be remembered that out of the total of British tonnage of merchant ships ovcu LOGO tons, we lost to 30th September only slightly over two and a-lialf pc cent.
