FOLEY’S PICTURES. “THE LILY AXJ) THE ROSE.” To-night at His Majesty’s Theatre what is described as a (iup aits triangle feature entitled “The Lily and the Rose” will be screened. The Lily'is first seen in a beautiful Smithera home, where she is cared for by her two aunts, typical gentlewomen of former days. Through a fashionable relative, the Lily is introduced to the man whom she marries. He gradually tires of the artless girl and goes to a lively snow, where he sees a sensational dancer, the Rose. In his infatuation he neglects, the Lily. He takes the dancer to the seashore, while the Lily returns to her girlhood home. The man then finds that the dancer is shallow and fickle. Events follow each other in rapid succession until the climax which is strikingly sensational. A good programme supports the feature including a firstclass edition or the War Gazette.
