An Egyptian official further reports: Three, hundred of. the Egyptian army were despatched to Elfasser in October on a mission rounding up a band of rebels in the province of Darfur and headed by the ex-Sultan Aldinar. The force reached Mulme on the 3rd. November and encountered few 7 tribesmen but there was little opposition. We captured 100 rifles and 300 camels. We pursued the main body towards Sugai and encountered on the 6th the ex-Sultan Aldinar, who ivas killed and two thousand were taken prisoners. Many rifles, ammunition, six thousand cattle, and other material w r ere captured. There were no Egyptian casualties. , , Kaaf—m—
