Press Association—Copyright, Austrn-
iian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received 12.45 p.m.)
The Daily Chronicle’s Salonika correspondent says: Twice on Friday night the Bulgars unsuccessfully attempted to regain the lost ground on the Polog slopes. An Order, which flfas found on a dead officer and' was signed by Geitieral von Winckler, commanding the Germano-Bulgars, warns the Bulgars not to expect reinforcements. Hef det dares that the French will hot push the attack with infantry; therefore, if the Bulgars dug in deeply there would he no fear of defeat. The odds upon l.lie Serbian sector are that the'Bulgarians. being numerically equal to their opponents, .ought to be able to maintain the defensive without assistance. di,-'.. 'V ‘ Vi, ,
