The legislative programme against the increased cost of living includes the immediate passage of an order making any combination or agreement increasing the price of necessities a criminal offence, punishable by two y'ears’ gaol and a five hundred dollars fine.
Canada’s war expenditure for October was 28 millions sterling, while in October last year it was nine millions.
The national debt has increased by 200 millions since tbo war.
