The Milan paper Corriere Diella Sera says the recent German menace of Norwegian neutrality has contributed to bind together the Scandinavian nations. Sweden has informed "Germany that she will be benevolently neutral towards Norway if there should be hostilities between Germany, and Norway. Berlin thereupon climbed down, unable to face th.e prospect of the loss of iron from Sweden.
FURTHER NEGOTIATIONS PROBABLE, (Received 1 p.m.) Copenhagen, November 8. The Norwegian reply to Germany insists on the prohibition of belligerents’ submarines entering Norwegian waters, but is in moderate tone and further nogotiaions are probable.
