STRATFORD RACING CLUB. A meeting of the Committee was held last evening, when there were present: Messrs iW. H> H. Young (chairman), W. J. .Morrison, S. Pitt, H. E. Abranamj .W. P. Kirkwood, J; R. L. Stanford, and A. Stewart. Messrs Cuff Bros, waited on the committee' in support of J. James' application for a conditional jockey's license. It was decided to inform Messrs Cuff that the committee cannot recommend him again to the District Committee.

The report of the Advertising sun committee was received.

It was decided to engage the Wan

ganui Garrison Band for the New Year meeting, and also ask them to give a Patriotic Concert in the Ngaore Gardens on the afternoon of Sunday, December 31st.

Messrs Pitt and Stanford were appointed a sub-committee to deal with the second day's handicaps. Mr Stanford was appointed to the Course Committee for the ensuing year. Messrs Abraham and Pitt were authorised to do certain work in renovating Butler's, stable.?,, a,t. the Course
