THE COAL STRIKE. SERIOUS COMPLICATIONS. (Received 12.5 p.m.) Sydney, November 7. The Minister of Industry has departed for Melbourne to confer with the Federal Minister on the question of co-ordination in action on the coal strike, the question of Federal or State jcppjtrol having arisen. The Ministers have agreed to load-, ing coal hn the. transports. Shipping at Newcastle largely paralysed. All trading steamers are hung up. The crew of the steamer Atna, which should have departed for I'iji to-day, was paid off.
CUTTING DOWN THE SERVICES. Melbourne, November 6. Preparations are being made to cut all inter-State services down to the lowest limit so as to save coal.
