AMUSEMENTS.
FOLEY'S PICTURES. “WOMAN AND WINE.” A DAZZLING PRODUCTION. Arthur Shirley’s successful melodrama “Woman and Wine,” as depicted in motion-picture form, proved a popular attraction at His Majesty’s Theatre last night. The central figure is Dick Seymour, son of a famous artist, who is lured away from his home and his fiancee by an unscrupulous woman. When Dick has been robbed by the woman of a legacy which lie had inherited she discards him. Subsequently the temptress is killed in a duel with another woman, and circumstances seem to indicate that Dick has murdered her. The faithful devotion of the gh’J whom Dick had almost forgotten is instrumental in saving him from the executioner. The theme is artistically expressed. The latest “Topical Budget” shows the latest important happenings in England and on the Continent. “Woman and Wine” will be screened to-night for the hist time.
