Romo. November G
The weather has again broken, and rain is falling heavily. Mist covers the hills, and mud is hampering our operations east and south of Gorizia, where it is almost impossible for the troops to move. Losing the village of Eajtinrib vyas a serious blow to the Austrians, who believed it to he impregnable. It dominates the Kostanjeviea network' roads’; spreading out from . the village, and also the ifowri& road from Ranziano to the Carso.
Cadorna allowed tlie troops a brief rest to bury the enemy dead and,..collect enormous booty from the caverns, where there were hundreds of Austrian wounded.
STRAIGHTENING THE LINE,
ITALIANS FURTHER ADVANCE.
