Lord Montagu of Beaulieu. dis-
cussing tile air crisis, writes: “TheAir Board should immediately cultivate Imperial ideas regarding aviation and, become the agency through which communications with the great Dominions could he carried out. It is clear the Mother Country will never be able in future to make war without the assistance of her grown-up 'sturdy children. This view-point must in a special degree bo considered in connection with a new service like aviation. The training facilities which many of the Dominions possess exceed ours in lioth climate and coun-
try. There is also a growing supply of brave and sagacious young men, who have come to the front from the Dominions since the war began. The Dominions’ best inventors, designers, and engineers will be valuable in regard to the manufacture of machines.”
