On behalf of the Stratford A. and P. Association, Messrs E. Jackson (President), C. Jacksbn, and the secretary (Mr A. D. Stanley), attended theManawatu Show, and report that much was shown to them by the officials of that show. They v received*'Very hearty promise of support from exhibitors, and anticipate a» large, nui&ber of entries from that district.

Quite a numhef of people" admired the magnificent iced cake oh view in the window of the Patriotic Rooms, Broadway. The cake is iced and has several tiers, -being surmounted by a machine-gun with soldier attendants. It is decora'ted Av'ith flags, and hears a photo of Lord Kitchener, while at the,base are the words "England expects that every'" man, will do his Duty." The cake is the gift of the staff of the Central Co-operative Store Co., Ltd., Broadway, for disposal on behalf ■of the ftiWds, and is very patriotic in appearance.
