SPORTING.
RIDCARTON TRAINING NOTES. Per Press Association. Christchurch, November 3. Hie weather was fine for training at Hiccarton. Mullingar beat John Barleycorn, Montana, and Horke's Drift in that order over nine furlongs, the last mile taking 1.43. Ringform and Ladogeur did seven furlongs in 1.31 2-o. Ardenvhor beat Mordant in the same time. Snub did steady pacing, finishing with a sprint of half a mile cut-out in 50 1-5. Marc Anthony had a similar task, i Other Cup horses had only easy work. A large number of others were out. mostly doing steady pace. Clynelish ran half a mile in 50, and a few others were given short sprints.
