NICOTINE—THE HARMFUL ELE- 4 MENT OF TOBACCO. Most important is it that the smok- _ er should know the percentage of nicotine in the tobacco he uses—for even the most robust constitution is undermined by this poison when absorbed by the system regularly and in large quantities. American smoking and chewing tobaccos contain as much as 4 per cent, and 5 per cent, of nicotine. Smokers will be interested to learn that our New Zealand grown tobacco contains only IT per cent, of nicotine. Small wonder that it so much milder and less harmful. Now Zealand has now its own tobacco industry and we can well be proud of the locally grown, picked, blended and packed product—known as Gold Pouch Tobacco. Mild, delightful in flavor and arma, cool and sweet, it is also far better value than imported brands. Two and a half ounces yes 2i ozs —for Is. Try it.
