Tlie Scottish National Miners' Union passed a resolution that unless the Government controlled the food prices, a serious national calamity would result. The union is endeavouring to organise all labor forces with a view to forcing, the Government to take action. It was declared that unless labor rebelled, the Government would not give them any attention.

The conference of South Wales miners passed a resolution similar to that passed by the Scottish miners. They propose a national stoppage in the event of failure of immediate Government action.
