ACCBDSNTS & FATALITIES. Dr. Edward Henry Alexander, formerly resident surgeon at Ashbum Hall, Waikari private, hospital for mental diseases, was (says a Press Association telegram from Dunedin) found dead on Saturday at his temporary residence, Mornington. Death was .apparently due to a gunshot wound. Deceased, who was a son of tiic late Dr. Alexander, after studying at Otago University, went to Edinjburg, where he acted as demonstrator 'iii pathology, and subsequently specialised in mental diseases at Edinburgh. Returning to New Zealand, h e practised in Blenheim, but his health gave way and he went to Dunedin, taking up practice at Ashburn Hall. Deceased was a single man. about 50 years of age.
