QUESTION. •v;jj il>:ijrifi til; : ! b WR REDMOND'S APPEAL. V'l .13 ».'I • , CONSTITUTIONAL RALLY NEEDED. Press Association—Copyright, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. London, October 30., Mr Redmond, speaking at Sligo, appealed to the Government to put Home Rule into operation and trust the Irish people. One great act of British statesmanship would, he contended, do more towards winning the war than the alliance of half-a-dozen neutrals. All the Irish rights can be won by constitutional action, therefore, tlie first need is to rally the constitutional movement. He warned Irishmen that nothing would imperil Ireland's position but sheer madness on the part of Ireland herself.
