In the Reichstag, Count von Roedern, Minister of Finance, in moving a credit vote of six hundred million sterling, said the war credit hitherto passed amounted to two thousand six hundred millions. The fifth war loan amounted to 526 million, with' about four million subscribers. The total expenditure of all bellingerents was estimated at twelve thousand five hundred millions, of which one-third fell to Germany and her Allies.
