RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES. Per Press Association. Christchurch, Octooer 28. The weather was fine for training work at Riccarton. Most of the work was outside the course proper. Greenstreet beat Thames over six furlongs in 1.20 1-5. Good Hope beat San Sebastian over seven in 1.32 4-5. Ogier and Riga ran a mile in 1.46. Secld el Bahr did a mile on the plough in 1.45. Daytime beat Thestius over five furlongs in 1.4. panmure and Chortle cut out half a mile in 49 3-5. Art and Banian ran ton furlongs on the plough in 2.16 2-5. Snub was going comfortably at the end of a mile and a-half with Wardancer in 2.41 4-5. Fiery Cross , ran the same journey with two companions in 2.41 3-5, but doing the best finish. Disdainful ten furlongs in 2.13 1-5. 1 indhorn and Margerine covered six furlongs down the straight in 1.17 V. Marabout beat Spot and Working over a mile and a rpiarter in 2.19. Madam Butterfly ran a mile in 1.47. Accliffe and Malvolia. did five furlongs in 1.4 3-5. Flying Start and Mattie did half a mile in 48 4-5. Gamecock and Full Speed took 49 1-5, and Kilrea 49 ;j-5. Bore ran a mile in 1.48 2-5, and Kil incur took 1.50. Comely and Week End ian six furlongs on the plough in 1.18 2-5. Immortelle and Biplane did a good half mile down the straight, Liugere going easily with Tyne in similar work. A huge number of others did easy work. Rorke’s Drift, Martel, Ringforrn. Killena, and Kilboyne arrived from the south last night. Kitty Bellairs was scratched for all engagements at the meeting.
