AMUSEMENTS.
FOLEY’S PICTURES. “FATTY AND MABEL ADRIFT.” , One of the best programmes we have seen, was the universal verdict of last night’s audience at His Majesty’s Theatre. The principal item was a two part Keystone Triangle Comedy, entitled “Fatty and Mabel Adrift.” j The producers of this picture certain-j ly have introduced effects which have hitherto not been attempted in film :comedy, while some of the spectacular effects have not been eclipsed in any of the first-class dramatic productions. | Humour of an entirely new kind is i the keystone of this master comedy, which the audience were not slow to appreciate, A good supporting programme includes “With the Royal Artillery,” (genuine official war film, unquestionably cinemategraphed on the battle field.) “Naval Guns in the Making” and a capital number of the “War Gazette” complete an excellent programme, which will be screened for the last time to-night. THE VICTOR PRINCE REVUE COMPANY. to-night’s Performance. One may say without fear of contradiction that the above company will he one of the most perfect and artistic vaudeville combinations shown before a Stratford audience. They appear this evening in the Town Hall after a six weeks’ successful season at the Opera House, Auckland. Among the artists is Little Lillian Colonso; Victor Prince, who justly enjoys the reputation of being the most amusing and cleverest comedian on the vaudeville stage; Chas. Zola, most delightful of comedians; Yorke Gray, fascinating dancer and comedian; Vera Jenson, with the fashion frocks; Flo Lyle and Rosie Zreman and Jacques May, Yiddish dancers and comedians; Geo. Sharrer and Annette Lang, in their top-hoot dances. The revue is full of well-manufactured laughter and keeps the audience in a constant state of merriment from beginning to end. A feature of the revue is the pretty costumes and the delightful music which make the performance an enjoyable one. Seats may be reserved at Grubb’s.
