FARMERS’ CO-OP. On Saturday, October 11, we hold a horse sale at Hawera Horse Bazaar, when we yarded over one hundred and fifty horses of all descriptions, | and report a most successful sale. Heavy draught horses (unbroken) sold at from £2O to £3l, medium do. (£ls to £2O, light horses £5 to £ls, young broken heavy draughts £27 to £3B 10s, aged sorts £ls to £25, milk carters £l7 to £2l, light harness horses £lO to £ls, hacks £5 to £l4, weeds 10s upwards. ( At Opunako on Monday, 16th in&L, we held our usual fortnightly sate '■and bull fair. There was a full yarding of store cattle of all descriptions, which met with a strong demand at advanced rates, and almost evoryj thing sold at the hammer. Bulls , came forward in very large numbers, 'and among them were a lot oi good quality bulls. Competition was good, and the major portion of them changed owners. We quote: Fatcows £lO 15s to £l2, fresh conditioned cows £9 to £lO, forward cows £8 to £8 17s 6d, store cows £6 15s to £7 17s, small store cows £5 10b to £6 10s, empty 2-year heifers £6 Jos to £7 10s, yearling heifers £3 Jss to £5, yearling steers .£! 4s to £6, Holstein bulls lOgus to 20gns, Shorthorn bulls lOgns to 20gns, Jersey bulls Bgns to 15gns, Ayrshire bulls to 13 gns, others £5 to £lO 10s. In the dairy .pens there was a fair entry of springing heifers, which met with a good sale. Best heifers sold at from £lO 10s to £l3, others £6 10s to £lO 10s. Good store pigs sold up to £2. Manaia.—Fat cows sold at from £lO 10s to £l2 10s, fresh conditioned cows £8 18s to £9 17s, forward cows £7 to £8 15s, store edws £6 te £7, yearling steers £4 12s, heifers £' 4s, Shorthorn bulls 12 to 21 guineas, Hoistein bulls 10 to 15 guineas, Jersey bulls 9 to 13 guineas, springing heifers £lO to £l3, others £5 10;;. to £lO. On Wednesday, 18th inst,, at Inglewood yards, we held onr usual sale; There, was a good yarding of cattle and a large attendance of • buyers. Competition was keen, and, with a few exceptions, the whole yarding was sold at satisfactory prices. Fat cows sold at from £lO 15s to £ll 6s, fresh conditioned cows £8 to £9 7s, forward cows £7 15s to £B, store cows £6 10s to £7 10s, yearling heifers £3 16s to £5, yearling steers £5 to £5 19s 6d, empty ewes 26s Id, best in-calf heifers £lO 10s to £l2 10s, others £6 10s to £lO, cows £7 to £l3.
