As far back as the last day of Sex tember, Private Harold Fever, oWes son of Mr and Mrs J. Fever, ol Wa puku, wag wounded in the firing lin in Frapce, and the soldier boy die next day from his wounds, yet th sad news has just reached his sorrow ing parents, who had been lulled int a false peace of mind owing to th fact that the seriousness of thfei boy’s wounds, had not been common cated to them. Many friends no\ mourn with them the boy’s death, bn woidd not ask to have it otherwise knowing that be died as a true sol dier loves to die—in the services of hi country. Private Fever was a popu lar boy in his native district wher lie woi'ked for his parents. He wen with the Pith Reinforcements, an the “Last Post” was sounded whei he was yet in his teens.
