Children of the Otamaro School, while playing on the beach four miles north of Whakatane Heads, Bay of Plenty, last week, found a quantity of wreckage, amongst which were dozens of tennis balls. The wreckage is supposed to have been washed up from the steamer Tougariro. The Arbitration Court gave judgment on the application to join the Wellington Agricultural and .Pastoral Workers' Union as a party to the Wellington and Hiiwke's Bay shearers and shed-hands' awards. It was decided that the New Zealand Agricultural and Pastoral Workers' Association was not legally constituted, and the same applies to the component unions.
