STRATFORD RACING CLUB. At a meeting of the Committee last evening, there were present—Messrs W. H. H. Young (President), V, . Morison, F. A. Mackay, J. it. !,. Stanford, and W. P. Kirkwood. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs Stewart, H. E. Abraham, and S. Pitt, The report relating to water instc! lation Mas deferred. The sub-committee's action in arranging for the catering l.iy Mrs <".*ll■ j- ! .r>»i (Brooking management) was •::ppt(i.e.', Mr W. P. Kirkwood being appointed to make the necessary arrangements. The offer of Mr R, H. Kivell for the .soiling of race cards and tickets was accented. » As to the engagement of a band, it was decided to communicate with the V.'anganui Garrison and the New Plymouth Citizen bands, enquiring if their services were available, and their terms. Tt was resolved that Mr R. Skipworth lie appointed starter. Messrs Kirkwood and Stanford were appointed to arrange for the necessary advertising. The matter of alterations to the front gates was left to Messi's Kirkwood and Morison.
