The Loan and Mercantile have just received the following cable from their London House :-Wool sales, good demand ; merino poorly represented, par to 50 per cent., crossbred (greasy) fine to 7i per cent., medium 5 per cent., other sorts par to 5 per cent, higher, as compared with 22nd September. T. LAMASON'S WEEKLY REPORT. Last Saturday our usual weekly sale was held at the Mart. Only a meagre entry of poultry came to hand, and the demand is still very keen. We quote as follows -.—Hens 2s 3d to 3s 6d, ducks 2s 6d to 3* 6d, roosters 2a to os, cauliflowers (per doz.) 3a Cxi to 4s 6d, rhubarb 6d per bundle. Also a quantity of furniture, boots and shoes, were sold at usual auction rates.
