WAVERLEY RACES. The weather was ideal holiday stull', and a largo crowd of people journeyed to the course hy ear and train yesterday from this end of the piovince. The favorites had a bad run as far as the speculators were concerned, and good average dividends were the order of the day. No accident marred the enjoyment of the gathering, while the crowd was particularly sober and well-conducted,. The totalfsator figures totalled £23,100, an increase of £1777 on last year’s figures.
