I [fUOM OUR OWN ( ORUIiSi’ONDKNT.] j The school concert was held on Friday night, hut owing to the very rough weather, the attendance was not so large as was expected, hut- all 'enjoyed themselves immensely. The 'school children went through their performances in a splendid manner. .Miss Strachan and .Miss liaison deserve great praise for the manner in I which the children did their work. 'After tiie children went through their programme, Mr and Mrs Rudkins’ song raised roars of laughter. Miss ■KilLshy’s song was very good, being encored. Mrs Bateman’s recitations [fairly brought the house down. The 1 members from Tariki went through 'a very amusing dialogue. Mrs Jones’ song was very good, and -Miss Newstroski capably played a pianoforte solo. .Miss Straehan’s song was flinch appreciated. A duet by Mrs Rudkin and Miss K ill shy was excellently executed. The Tariki glee was extra I special. This concluded the programline. Owing to the very rough night, (it has been decided to give another concert shortly. Air Masters ably 'officiated as chairman. Hie ladies handed around supper, after which the school was cleared for dancing. Special thanks are due to Air Rudkin for bringing so many from Tariki on such a rough night.
