THE SCANDALS COMMISSION. FEAR OF “WHITE-WASHING” REPORT. Press Association—Copyright, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received 10.30 a.in.) London, October 23. The Daily Mail states that the commission entrusted with enquiries into the scandals in the Mesopotamia campaign are doing their work in a very peculiar manner, and there is a growing fear that it may issue a white-washing report. The Daily Mail demands that the Commission should take the evidence ot 'Sir O’Moore Croagh, who, while Com-mander-in-Chief in India, made many recommendations, which, if carried out, would have prevented the disaster.
